The COMMISSION Process
Step-by-Step

    Work BEGINS

    Review your expectations, timeline, reason for commissioning the project, etc. Start drawing.

    Update COMMISSION PROGRESS

    Deliver progress photos, via email/text, of drawing within two (2) to four (4) days. Discuss and make recommended changes.

    Deliver COMPLETED DRAWING

    Email finished drawing within three (3) to (5) days. Smile with delight!

FAQs

Is sitting for the portrait required?
No, the artist works exclusively with photographs (due to the COVID-19 pandemic and geographic constraints).

COMMISSION A PORTRAIT
A portrait commission starts at $400.00, and typically increases by the number of people in the portrait.

50% of the portrait fee is due at the beginning of the commission. The balance is due following final approval of the finished portrait.

Payment is accepted via PayPal, Venmo or check.

The materials used to complete portraits are willow and white charcoal, and graphite.

How long will it take to complete the portrait?
The entire portrait commission process, from the moment charcoal hits the paper to your final approval is typically three (3) to five (5) days.

You will receive a digital, high-resolution .jpg file of the portrait. You may make an unlimited number of copies of the portrait for non-commercial use. The artist retains the original portrait and all commercial copyrights.
